Jean-François (Hans Fritz)
- born in Milan in 1921 from swiss parents
- during World War II, he co-operated with the International Red Cross in Geneva
- he studied architecture in Zurich, ETHZ degree in 1949 and one year as foreign student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (United States)
- since 1951 he worked in Milan, starting as an individual architect, then as chief director of his own society evolving in development of architecture and engineering projects
- he managed to share his time between work and painting since 1975, increasing his passion for the latter mostly since 1985 when he moved to Samedan, in Engandin (Swiss Alps)
